There's no place like 'Ome.

Welcome 'Ome

'Ome means different things to many different people. Burlington is my 'Ome town, and I've always wanted to share my 'Ome with you.

By you coming for a visit, it means you are contributing to a larger community initiative. 'Ome is a social enterprise with its goal being to create a sustainable micro economy through tourism. Visiting The Greenhouse, The Gathering and our 'Ome-Lux accommodations, are all ways you are participating.

Every penny you spend is being reinvested back into the towns of Burlington, Middle Arm and Smiths Harbour to make your trip 'Ome, the most rewarding it can possibly be. Enjoy your time, be kind to others and please come back soon!

Shaun  Majumder

Shaun Majumder, one of Canada's best known comedians and performers, longs to give back to the small Newfoundland and Labrador coastal town where he was raised, Burlington.

It's a community of 350 souls hard-pressed to find opportunities and hope for its next generation. Putting his own money and reputation on the line, Shaun has embarked on what some call a crazily ambitious project to turn this humble fishing and logging village into a world-renowned cultural tourist destination.

Currently starring on CBC's This Hour has 22 Minutes, now in its 23rd Season, Shaun's work has taken him through the world of theatre, standup comedy and improv. In 2010 he starred as Detective Vik Mahajan in the critically acclaimed crime drama Detroit 1-8-7 on ABC. More recently, Shaun played Andrew Palmer on NBC/Global Television's The Firm, starring Josh Lucas and Juliette Lewis.

Shaun's dreams were the subject of the hilarious hit documentary series on the W Network, Majumder Manor.
